The Hungarian Boss of All Waters
Benjamin Vadnai – 16-year-old member of the Balatonfüredi Yacht Club – has won the gold medal in the Laser 4.7 boat class as the first Hungarian sailor, at the MacLaren 2012 Laser 4.7 World Championship organized in Buenos Aires. Benjamin turned out to be the best during 12 rounds, among 71 competitors of 24 countries.
His name has also been well-known earlier, but the brand new champion now put his name into the national and international big book of the sailing sport for good. The young competitor of the BYC has already won European Championships and Europe Cups before, but now, for the first time, he was able to celebrate outside of Europe.
Benjamin’s motto: „Do not just qualify! Win it!"
